We did see The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe this afternoon... the movie theater was packed!!! (The parking lot and lobby, not necessarily our particular theater.) The movie was good; I'd give it 3 out of 4 stars... but boy, did it seem eerily similar to the Lord of the Rings movies theme- good vs. evil, and all that, but a couple of the scenes and how they played out reminded me SO much of battle scenes from the LOTR movies.
Now, Tom and I want to read the book again to find out if those scenes were actually in the book. And, I do NOT understand why people bring very small children to the movies... there were some people behind us with a little kid who couldn't have been older than 3 yrs old- it was distracting, and I certainly don't think they got anything out of the story. (How could anyone, when they got up to go to the potty at least three times in 2 hours?! -rant over-
